VILLANOVA AT THE EUROPEAN INNOVATION ACADEMY

The European Innovation Academy is a three-week-long multidisciplinary, multicultural summer abroad experience for ANY ΈΜιΩΦ±²¥ student.

Students form teams, develop ideas, and bring them to market in three weeks. Along the way, they learn from recognized global experts in design, innovation, and venture creation.

The Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship partners with the Office of Education Abroad and the College of Professional Studies to bring you to the European Innovation Academy. PROGRAM DETAILS

Program Dates:

July 20 through August 8

Program Location:

Porto, Portugal 

Daily Schedule:

Each day from 10 am-noon, students attend keynotes from global leaders in entrepreneurship. After lunch, students can meet with mentors with subject matter expertise. Then for the rest of the day, students work on the day’s deliverable.

Weekly Schedule

Week 1: Ideation and Team Formation

  • Students form multidisciplinary, international teams and validate the next 10-billion-dollar idea.

Week 2: Prototype and Marketing Plan

  • Students design and launch their products and map their go-to-market strategy. 

Week 3: Launch and Pitching

  • Teams work to acquire their first 1,000 users and pitch to a panel of Silicon Valley venture capitalists. 

Eligibility

Any ΈΜιΩΦ±²¥ student from any school, undergraduates, graduate, and professional students may apply. We are looking for a diversity of backgrounds, expertise, and interests.

Academic Credit:

3 Credits (finalizing cross-listing for CPS and COE).

Need-based funding is available.
