STUDENT BUSINESS GROUPS
VSB is home to a wide array of active student professionals (also known as “Business Societies) and honor societies, as well as service groups. Membership provides students with opportunities to gather information on a specific industry/profession, connect with employers, network with students who share similar professional interests, and/or serve your peers. Additionally, membership may lead to leadership opportunities within societies.

Accounting
The Accounting Society allows students to explore this field of study, as well as career opportunities that are available in the workplace. There are weekly meetings that include visits from accounting industry professionals, career counselors, and alumni. Society members attend special events and participate in office visits at accounting firms and corporations near Philadelphia and New York.

NABA is a nonprofit membership association dedicated to bridging the opportunity gap for black professionals in the accounting, finance and related business professions. Representing more than 200,000 black professionals in these fields, NABA advances people, careers, and the mission by providing education, resources, and meaningful career connections to both professional and student members, fulfilling the principle of our motto: Lifting As We Climb.
The goal of the organization on ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥â€™s campus is to grant its members access to the myriad of resources that NABA provides to its student chapters, including student-to-student and professional-to-student networking, mentoring programs, regional student conferences, internship/full time opportunities, scholarship opportunities and lots more.

VITA is an organization that certifies volunteers to be Basic Level income tax assistants with the IRS, enabling them to provide free tax preparation services to low-income families, the elderly, non-native English speakers, and persons with disabilities. VITA at ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ allows student volunteers to complete this training, provide these services throughout the Philadelphia community, and host an on-campus tax clinic to support ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ students.

Analytics/Technology
The provides a medium for students interested in analytics to come together and further their goals. The BAS hosts events that bring real professionals from the industry to ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ to share their experiences. These professionals provide valuable insight into what it takes to be successful in the field of analytics; they also bring recruiting opportunities to ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥.

The ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ Crypto Club (VCC) is ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥â€™s only campus organization dedicated to learning, research, and building projects related to cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies. The goal of VCC is to provide a common space and campus resources for students interested in current events and real-world applications of these new technologies. On top of regular meetings, VCC holds guest speaker events and attends conferences.

Management Information Society (MIS) exposes its members to technology's role in business and the corporate world. Membership provides the opportunity to meet and network with other technology-focused majors and similarly-focused alumnae/professionals from a variety of companies to learn about current developments in the IT field, as well as to explore employment/internship opportunities. In addition to these sessions, members receive exclusive workshops in software commonly utilized by companies, and sessions about current emerging technologies.

The ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ Sports Analytics Club is an inclusive group in which students are encouraged and given the opportunity to express their passion for sports in many different forms. This includes analytics and data science, debate, discussions, and many other fun events and activities. We hope to create opportunities and prepare students for careers in sports through staying up to date with the sports world, professional development events, and attending conferences.

Economics
The goal of the ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ University Economics Society is to expose majors in economics and business to the wide variety of professions and opportunities available to them by meeting with professionals in the field. Finance
The ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ Finance Group (VFG) is the parent organization for ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥â€™s three main finance societies: The ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ Wildcat Fund, Mergers & Acquisitions Society and SWIFT (Society for Women in Financial Training). VFG is a four-year club that is open to all students regardless of major and hosts events and speakers designed to introduce students to the wide array of career opportunities within the field of Finance.

Management
The mission of the ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ Consulting Group (VCG) is to develop the next generation of business leaders and management consultants. VCG’s goal is to make students aware of what consultants do, the different types of consulting, and career paths that consulting can ultimately lead to. The club will hold weekly meetings to generate interest in consulting at ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥. The club will also bring in guest speakers, develop a professional mentorship program, and spearhead a consulting case interview preparation program to give club members a competitive advantage in the job market. Once the VCG is established, its secondary purpose will be to provide value-added services to on-campus organizations as well as local businesses.

Marketing
The Professional Selling Society (PSS) strives to enhance and develop members' individual and team selling skills, presentation skills, and communication skills. This goal is achieved through training sessions, case competitions, and visits from leading executives and sales professionals. Furthermore, networking events will provide members with increased exposure to careers in sales, as well as give employers greater visibility on campus. PSS is open to students across all colleges and majors because the skills taught are relevant to any profession. Join PSS to strengthen your selling and presentation skills, learn to communicate more effectively, build stronger relationships, and discover more career opportunities!
The ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ Marketing Group strives to provide our members with the best understanding of marketing as a whole and specifically where they will fit in within the industry. This goal is achieved through marketing-related events, which may include hearing from marketing professionals or even visiting the sites of successful businesses. Our goal is also achieved through our consulting teams, which provide marketing support to real-world clients. This allows us to touch our community and provide real-world experience to our members. The student chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) here at ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ is committed to the mission of ALPFA. "To empower and develop Latino men and women as leaders of character for the nation, in every sector of the global economy." We do this by providing unique opportunities for our students to connect with top companies. Aside from advancing our mission, we also look to create a community here in VSB where Latinos are empowered to contribute to one another's growth, development, and successes both personally while they are here on campus, and professionally as they look to step into the workforce. Our mission is to promote awareness and educate members about environmentally conscious practices in business to create responsible consumers and develop leaders whose actions align with creating a more sustainable world. While our club is grounded in business ethics, we welcome students of all majors and backgrounds as sustainability is not only fostered by companies, but by their customers as well. We encourage all students who are interested to participate because it is essential that businesses be held accountable for their actions and the impacts they have on the environment. The Business Law Society will serve as a way to unite students who are interested in law, or the role of law in a business setting. This group is not limited to students pursuing the minor in business law, but rather is open to any undergraduate student at ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ University. The VSB Book Club brings together students from across majors and classes to discuss one book each semester. The club provides a space for members to learn from each other, network, and grow their knowledge in a collaborative environment. By reading and discussing relevant books, and having guest speakers, members gain valuable insights and practical tools to improve their critical thinking skills
The Instructional Student Golf Society provides students the opportunity to learn how to play golf in order to better prepare for conducting business on a golf course after college. The Instructional Student Golf Society will teach students etiquette and rules of the game while at weekly lessons at a golf course in the Spring 2023 semester.

Omicron Delta Epsilon is an international economics honor society. The ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ chapter was formed in 1967. The society is open to all juniors and seniors having an overall grade point average of 3.5 or better, as well as a grade point average of 3.5 or better in economics courses. A minimum of four economics courses is required for membership.

Peer Advisors are an integral part of the VSB advising team, which is composed of the Clay Center advisor, peer advisor, and faculty advisor. Peer advisors are junior and senior business students, selected through a rigorous application and interview process, who support VSB students throughout their freshman and sophomore years. Peer advisors complete a comprehensive training program that equips them with the knowledge, resources, and tools to support their advisees as they settle into college life and navigate their freshman year and beyond.

VSB Peer Tutors is a volunteer organization of VSB juniors and seniors dedicated to supporting the academic success of their VSB classmates. Tutors provide weekly office hours and individual tutoring throughout the semester for all VSB core business classes. Participation in VSB Peer Tutors is by invitation in acknowledgment of a student's excellent academic record; tutors complete a comprehensive training program and maintain a minimum 3.5 overall GPA.
