ASSESSING THE ENVIRONMENT

Freshman year is a time of transition. Here at VSB, you’ll have a number of opportunities available to you. We hope you will explore your options, form relationships, get involved, and take advantage of all VSB and ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ have to offer. The ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ community is here to support your development throughout your college career.

SUMMER BEFORE YOUR FIRST YEAR

Be sure to check your ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ email weekly throughout the summer for important information and updates. Your academic advisor and peer advisor will be reaching out to you. Don’t forget to have all of your AP and/or IB scores sent to ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥. Your fall schedule will be available to view in mid-August.

ONCE YOU ARRIVE ON CAMPUS

As you settle into freshman year, schedule an appointment with your academic advisor to discuss curricular planning, summer options and available on-campus resources. Look to professors as mentors, get involved in service and consider leadership opportunities.
