ABOUT US

Mission

We are students, faculty, and service partners pursuing growth as citizens of a diverse world. Through proximity and dialogue, we are inspired to use our education to serve our community partners and recognize that we can confront and participate in the remediation of the issues that challenge their lives. We seek to become active participants in the world through the integration of weekly service, academic inquiry and communal living.

Students can participate in service learning through Course-Based Service Learning, Service Learning Communities and Service Learning Research and Advocacy.

The Office of Service Learning establishes and maintains relationships with 15 community nonprofit agencies and schools. Communication with our community partners about their needs allows us to seek out the resources and talents of ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ faculty and students thatÌý will serve and support our partners and create meaningful service opportunities that support classroom learning.
