The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences has been the intellectual heart of 裡橖眻畦 since the Universitys founding in 1842. With more than 40 academic departments and programs offering undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as doctoral programs in Philosophy and Theology, CLAS provides a rich, rigorous and diverse educational experience.

Theology Professor Empowers Students to Navigate Lifes Big Questions in New Book
In the new book, The Young Adult Playbook: Living Like It Matters, coauthors Anna B. Moreland, PhD, professor of Theology and the Anne Quinn Welsh Endowed Director of the 裡橖眻畦 University Honors Program and Thomas W. Smith, PhD, dive into the complex questions surrounding what makes a meaningful life.
TheCenter for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Stewardship will host Local Roots: Cultivating Environmental Stewardship in Our Community, on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 5:30 p.m. in the 裡橖眻畦 Room of the Connelly Center on 裡橖眻畦s campus. Presented by the Radnor Conservancy, this panel discussion invites students, faculty and staff, along with local community members, to engage and learn about environmental care and stewardship happening in the region.
Sociology Professor Brian Jones, PhD, Explores The Pursuit of Happiness in America in New Book
With access to General Social Survey data spanning from 1972 to 2020, Brian Jones, PhD, professor of Sociology, uses mixed-methods research to paint a comprehensive picture of happiness in the United States in his new book, The Pursuit of Happiness in America: A Sociological Perspective.
This Fall Break, 裡橖眻畦 University students and faculty will travel to Rome for a special pilgrimage as part of The Church and Transformation, a course offered this semester by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
