A well-established short-term housing program for approximately 200 students from other colleges and universities coming to the Philadelphia area for internships related to their degree programs in Summer 2024.

(Please note that current ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ students (undergraduate or graduate) or individuals enrolled in ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ summer programs are not eligible for the Intern Housing Program through the Office of Conference Services and must contact the Office of Residence Life with all summer housing questions.)

West Campus Apartment Living

Modern, three-story (with elevator), air-conditioned, furnished apartment buildings offer guests the convenience of easy access to major highways and a train station accessing Center City Philadelphia. The apartments are located next to a campus deli-convenience store, tennis, outdoor basketball and beach volleyball courts and a train station. Please view the complete brochure and our campus map for more information.

Apartment Information: The apartments include bedrooms (standard or extra long twin-size bed), 1.5 bathrooms (one tub/shower combo w/ toilet and one toilet), two vanity sinks, a living/dining area and kitchenette (cooktop, microwave, & refrigerator). No cookware/dishes/utensils are provided for the kitchen area. Wireless internet access is free to all guests. Cable TV access is free (living room only), but BYOTV and coaxial cable (TV must be equipped with QAM digital tuner and coax cable input). For additional details, please see our Apartment Accommodations Overview.  Additional photos are available in the "Accommodations" section of our website.  Interns are assigned one per bedroom (two per apartment) and can request an apartment roommate or one will be assigned (same-sex assignments only within apartments; buildings are co-ed). Interns will share the living area, kitchenette and bathrooms. The Office of Conference Services reserves the right to make all housing assignments according to availability of space. Apartment roommate information will be communicated via e-mail in mid-May.

All Interns upon check in will receive a swipe card which will allow access to exterior building doors and will act as your laundry card. Interns will be given a keycode for access to their apartment. Inside the apartment each intern will have their own bedroom. The door knob on the bedroom doors, can lock from the inside. 

Interns must provide their own bed linen, blanket, pillow and towels and are each and together accountable for the condition of their apartment. Interns are to maintain clean, safe and orderly living conditions. The online registration form that is to be completed and submitted constitutes the Occupancy Agreement, and it requires interns to read, agree to and abide by the University's Terms and Conditions of Occupancy, ,  and . A valid credit card number (Visa, Mastercard, Discover or Amex only) is also required to function as a security deposit and will be charged in instances described on the Payment Information page of the online registration form.

Check-In and Check-Out Dates: Interns may move in on Sunday, May 26, 2024 or later and MUST vacate their apartment no later than Friday, August 2, 2024 by 7:00pm. NO extensions of stay past Friday, August 2, 2024 at 7:00pm can be given (as all buildings have to be vacated, cleaned and turned back over to the University at that time to prepare for students moving back in the next morning for the academic year). Detailed information on check-in procedures, times and locations will be included in and attached to your online registration confirmation e-mail which should be printed for your reference. Additional information will be provided via e-mail during the summer to all Intern Housing residents. 

Housing prior to Sun, May 26 / after Fri, August 2: Unfortunately, ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ University has no housing options whatsoever outside of the dates of the Intern Housing Program, Sun, May 26 to Fri, August 2, 2024. Please see our Resource List for Local Housing Extensions for possible options for housing before or after your stay at ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ if your internship is longer than 10 weeks or does not match the dates of our Intern Housing Program.

Rent and Payment Information: Rent is per person, per week (Sunday - Saturday, any part of a week constitutes a full week), along with a one-time, non-refundable  registration fee. Full payment for the full term of stay desired must be made by credit card when submitting the online registration form, in advance of move-in, for all interns whose employers do not contract with ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ to cover their housing costs (rent). The one-time, non-refundable registration fee is payable by all interns, at the time of registration.

Cancellation Policy: For a refund of your housing payment minus one week's rent and the non-refundable registration fee, any total cancellation must be received in writing via e-mail (ConferenceServices@villanova.edu) by May 1, 2024.  For cancellations after May 1, a higher charge of multiple week's rent will apply, determined on a case-by-case basis.

Refund Policy for Date Changes: Any changes to dates of your internship that would result in a later arrival or earlier departure than your originally reserved dates must be communicated in writing via e-mail (ConferenceServices@villanova.edu) by June 1, 2024. Any possible refund due to date changes in not guaranteed and will be decided on a case-by-case basis. Be sure to discuss your internship and housing dates with your employer as soon as possible to avoid any such situation.

Smoking: Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside of all campus residential buildings. Interns will reside in housing reserved for campus summer conferences, meetings and guest groups who may conduct some of their activities in or around the apartment complex. Courtesy is expected at all times.

Parking: A parking permit will be issued to each intern at the time of check-in, for parking in the West Campus apartment lot for the duration of stay. Parking is included in the one-time registration fee.

Check-Out Information: Check-Out Procedures will be included in your check-in packet upon arrival to ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥. You will complete an Apartment Condition Card at the beginning of your stay, and a final apartment inspection walk-through by a Conference Services staff member is mandatory before check-out.  Further information will be provided via e-mail during the summer. You will be responsible for taking any necessary actions as indicated by Conference Services staff following their walk-through prior to your departure.
