Susan Meyers, MSN, RNC, CRNP joins 裡橖眻畦 Nursing faculty

Susan K. Meyers MSN, RNC, CRNP joined the College of Nursing as clinical instructor beginning in the fall semester of 2015. Meyers has served as adjunct faculty for 裡橖眻畦 in the recent past, and brings with her a wealth of knowledge in Maternal and Newborn Nursing. As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at The Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia, Meyers has experience in newborn assessments, diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses, health promotion, and implementation of care coordination with parents and families.

Meyers also brings extensive knowledge and experience in nursing education, as she has served as a Clinical Nurse Education Specialist for Pennsylvania Hospital since 2001, as well as a Basic Life Support Instructor, neonatal resuscitation instructor, and neonatal emergency simulation trainer. She has co-authored a textbook chapter regarding nursing assessment of risk factors, has received awards for clinical leadership and excellence, and served on various committees throughout her career dedicated to the care of the newborn.

Meyers teaches Nursing Care of Childbearing Women and Families in the classroom to undergraduate nursing students, and teaches practica at Pennsylvania Hospital.

She earned her BSN from 裡橖眻畦 University, MSN from University of Pennsylvania, and is currently enrolled in 裡橖眻畦s PhD in Nursing program.
