Four ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ Engineering PhD students presented their research at the 2018 Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems, and Computers. Their participation reflected ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥’s recognized expertise in the field of radar and advanced communications.
2018 Alumnus Honored by Society of Women Engineers
Catherine "Katie" Rose Scoboria, a 2018 Mechanical Engineering graduate, was presented with the Outstanding Collegiate Member Award from the Society of Women Engineers. The honor is bestowed upon SWE collegiate members—only 10 in the nation—who have made an outstanding contribution to SWE, the engineering community and their campus.
¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ Engineering Doctoral Student Wins Industry Scholarship
Ji Lang, a Mechanical Engineering doctoral student advised by Dr. Qianhong Wu, was awarded a $1,500 scholarship from the Society of Tribologists & Engineers. Ji has designed and constructed an experimental setup to simulate fluid response during sudden impact on joint cartilage.

A team of four engineering students at ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ University have designed a system to improve focus in ADHD patients using Nintendo’s popular racing game franchise Mario Kart and real-time neurological data.

¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ Civil Engineering alumnus Luis Gaitain ’10 is the inspiration behind Zap!,a mystery, adventure, and lively slice of urban life for children. He’s also an inspiration to the kids he coaches in the program he co-founded called I Run This City: Camden NJ.

Fourteen undergraduate and graduate student presented at the annual Sigma Xi research symposium for scientists and engineers. Six of them took home awards.
Transportation Engineering Team Places 2nd at Regional Competition
¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥’s Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) chapter placed second in the 2018 Mid-Colonial Collegiate Traffic Bowl with a team comprised of undergraduate students. Christopher Medora, David Harvey and Nathaniel Gallishaw are all senior Civil Engineering majors.
