Elizabeth A. Bruderle, '90 M.S.N., Ph.D., R.N., clinical assistant professor, was a finalist in May 2012 for 裡橖眻畦 Universitys Christian R. and Mary F. Lindback Award for Outstanding Teaching.

Theresa Capriotti 95 M.S.N., D.O., R.N., CRNP, clinical associate professor, presented Engineering, Biology and Nursing Intercollegiate Project 2011- 2012, at 裡橖眻畦 Universitys VITAL and CIT Conference.

Linda Carman Copel, Ph.D., R.N., PMHCNS, BC, CNE, NCC, FAPA, professor, presented a paper, Intimate Partner Violence Experienced by Women with Disabilities, at the Family Therapy Networker Conference in Washington, D.C., in March 2012.

Elizabeth Burgess Dowdell, Ph.D., R.N., FAAN, professor, was a finalist in May 2012 to give 裡橖眻畦 University undergraduates their Last Lecture, based on votes by the senior class. Dr. Dowdell in April 2012 presented three papers in Atlanta at the U.S. Department of Justice OJJDPs National Law Enforcement Training on Child Exploitation: Adolescents and the Internet: Sexting, Cyberbullying, Online Strangers and Offline Victimization; Self-production of Child Pornography by Minors on MyYearbook.com: The Pennsylvania ICAC Response; and Social Networking Patterns of Adolescents, Young Adults, and Offenders.

Tamara M. Kear 09 Ph.D., R.N., CNN, assistant professor, co-presented a poster with student A. Behette, Hypertension in Haitian Migrant Communities in the Dominican Republic: An Investigation of Three Rural Bay Communities, at the College of Nursings Research Symposium in March 2012. She presented a webinar, Renal Failure: An Update for Healthcare Professionals, at the ADVANCE for Nurses Publication, Virtual Job Fair in January 2012.

Michelle M. Kelly 94 B.S.N., 12 Ph.D., CRNP, clinical assistant professor, and Naomi Wallis 11 B.S.N., R.N. presented Life after Prematurity: Health-related Quality of Life and Special Health Care Needs of Children Born Prematurely at the College of Nursing Annual Research Symposium.
 
Margaret Peggy G. Lyons 87 B.S.N., D.N.P., CRNI, program coordinator of Continuing Education in Nursing and Health Care, in May 2012 presented Navigating Your Way Through Open Access, Copyright, Fair Use and the TEACH Act at the 20th Annual Conference for Nurse Educators, sponsored by Saint Anselms College and held in Hyannis, Mass. In June 2012 she received a research award from the Gardner Foundation of the Infusion Nurses Society.

Bette A. Mariani 82 B.S.N., Ph.D., R.N., assistant professor, co-presented with Colleen M. Meakim 84 M.S.N., R.N., director of the Learning Resource Center, a preconference lecture on Using Structured Debriefing to Enhance Clinical Judgment Abilities in the Simulation Experience at the 11th Annual International Nursing Simulation/Learning Resource Centers Conference. They offered a workshop, Debriefing for Meaningful Learning, at the ATI Nurse Educator Summit in April 2012 in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Ruth A. McDermott-Levy 96 M.S.N., 08 Ph.D., R.N., assistant professor, presented a poster, Health Needs Assessment in Philadelphias Arab American Community, at the College of Nursings Annual Research Symposium in March 2012.

Amy E. McKeever 08 Ph.D., R.N., CRNP, assistant professor, presented two posters at the Association of Womens Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses National Convention in June 2012 in Washington, D.C.:
 o The Effect of Innovative Educational Programs on the Initiation and Continuation of Breastfeeding Among Low-Income African American Women, with P. Digiacomo; and
o Lilfisha for the Cure: The Education of Arab-Muslim Women in Breast Health Using Community Health Workers. An Empowerment Model of Health Education, with Ruth A. McDermott-Levy 96 M.S.N., 08 Ph.D., R.N., assistant professor.

Patricia A. Mynaugh, Ph.D., R.N., associate professor, in January 2012, received 裡橖眻畦 Universitys Recognition for Student Mentoring.

Kelly Ann P. Nestor 96 B.S.N., 08 M.S.N., ANP-BC, clinical professor, was elected to a three-year term on the board of Saunders House, a rehab/long-term care facility in Wynnewood, Pa.,  and Bryn Mawr (Pa.) Terrace, a senior care community.
 
Bing-Bing Qi 94 M.S.N., Ph.D., R.N., assistant professor, and student Victoria Daubert presented a poster, Osteoporosis Knowledge, Health Beliefs and Preventive Behaviors among Freshmen Nursing Students, at the College of Nursings Annual Research Symposium in March 2012.

Kathryn M. Reynolds 79 B.S.N., M.S.N., PNP, clinical assistant professor, co-presented two sessions with Isabella Belle Erickson, Ph.D., R.N., assistant professor: Clinical Evaluation of Nursing Students and Clinical Conferencing at the Clinical Conferencing and Evaluation for Clinical Faculty, 裡橖眻畦 University.

Carol Toussie Weingarten, Ph.D., R.N., ANEF, associate professor, returned again to Germany in the summer of 2012, working with U.S. wounded warriors at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center and providing continuing education as well as faculty development for its Department of Nursing. In Pittsburgh, she presented Working with Ill and Wounded Troops Transported to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany: Through the Eyes of a Civilian Volunteer Who Is A Nurse, at the 60th National Convention of the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA) in April 2012.
