Universal Waste Recycling

universal waste - light bulbs and other hazardous items

Universal Waste is a type of hazardous waste that has more relaxed regulations when compared to other typical hazardous wastes. Universal waste includes batteries, light bulbs, mercury containing devices (such as thermometers) and pesticides. Disposable batteries should be disposed of in the trash, as they can not be recycled.

¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ University Recycling works with the Environmental Health and Safety Office and other departments across campus to help properly recycle all of the University’s universal waste.
