College of Engineering Ranked Among Top 10 by U.S. News & World Report

The College of Engineering has once again secured its place among the top 10 Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report. For the sixth consecutive year, the publication has recognized the College, which ranks number 10 this year, for distinction among colleges and universities that award primarily bachelors and/or masters degrees. In addition, the Colleges Civil and Environmental Engineering program has been ranked eighth nationally in the same category of institutions. The annual ranking lists undergraduate programs accredited by ABET, the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, based on the offerings and academic rigor of the program.

Its always an honor to be recognized for our commitment to undergraduate teaching and research opportunities, especially by a publication that has become such an important resource for students and families making decisions about college plans, says Dr. Gary Gabriele, Drosdick Endowed Dean of Engineering. We are especially proud of this recognition in light of our latest innovations in undergraduate engineering our new first year curriculum and the 裡橖眻畦 Multidisciplinary Design Lab.

In the U.S. Newss annual report rankings of Americas Best Colleges, 裡橖眻畦 University earned the top spot in the Regional University-North category. Coupled with this placement, 裡橖眻畦 is also listed as a university with a Strong Focus on Student Success, and among the list of Great Schools, Great Prices, the latter calculated by the schools net cost of attendance for a student who receives the average level of need-based financial aid. According to U.S. News, the higher the quality of the program and the lower the cost, the better the deal. In addition, 裡橖眻畦 is also on the rankings list for Programs to Look For.
