Dr. Moeness Amin Joins Editorial Board of IEEEs Signal Processing Magazine
The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) has tapped Dr. Moeness Amin, Director of the Center for Advanced Communications and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, to offer his expertise as a member of the editorial board for its flagship publication, IEEE Signal Processing Magazine.
It is an honor to join such a highly-regarded journal and one that enjoys excellent recognition for the content and services it provides to IEEE members, says Dr. Amin, an internationally renowned expert on traditional and emerging signal processing techniques and a Fellow of the IEEE, the International Society of Optical Engineering, and the Institute of Engineering and Technology. He was awarded the 2009 Individual Technical Achievement Award from the European Association of Signal Processing and the 2010 NATO Scientific Achievement Award and has authored more than 450 journal and conference publications on a wide range of communications topics.
In his capacity as a member of the editorial board, Dr. Amin will provide input for setting the direction and strategy of the magazine, review white paper proposals for special issues and feature articles, coordinate reviews of full manuscripts of approved feature article submissions, and help develop new initiatives for expanding the services and impact of the publication.
IEEE Signal Processing Magazine recently was ranked the top journal among all electrical engineering publications with the highest citation impact factor. Papers published each month are widely read by the technical community and are among the top 100 most frequently downloaded papers at the IEEE-wide eXplore library. In addition to full-length papers, the magazine includes a wide array of influential and popular columns and forums.
