Civil Engineering Student Receives Research Award
Cem Unlu, a graduate student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, is the recipient of the 2009 Student Research Award from the Pennsylvania Water Environment Association (PWEA). I am honored to receive this nationally recognized and prestigious award, Cem said.
PWEA recognized Cems work on microbial water and quality sources of indicator microorganisms in Goose Creek, a major tributary in the Chester Creek Watershed. Cem will receive the award and present a paper on his research at the PennTech 2009 Conference in June.
