  • Admissions and financial aid as they pertain to engineering, with Stephen R. Merritt, Dean of Enrollment Management
  • Update on the College, including progress that the College has made in implementing its own strategic plan, with Dr. Gary A. Gabriele, the Drosdick Endowed Dean of Engineering

In addition to these presentations, Bill Lorenz ChE '68, Chair of the Board, facilitated a discussion of how the University's and the College's strategic plans are aligning. Board members affirmed the College's goals and offered suggestions as to how the College's and the University’s strategic objectives can be achieved.

"It was a very productive meeting," Dean Gabriele said. "Because they represent different facets of the business world, the Board members provide an external perspective that helps the College make informed decisions."

The Engineering Advisory Board is a consultative body whose mission is to secure the continued betterment of the College's educational program. Members are appointed for one-to-three-year terms. The next Board meeting will be held in April 2009.
