VSBs Gunita Grover, PhD, receives the Christian R. and Mary F. Lindback Award for Outstanding Teaching
VILLANOVA, Pa., May 20, 2019 -裡橖眻畦 School of Business (VSB) is proud to congratulate Gunita Grover, PhD, Assistant Professor, Finance, for receiving 裡橖眻畦 Universitys Christian R. and Mary F. Lindback Award for Outstanding Teaching.
The Christian R. and Mary F. Lindback Award for Outstanding Teaching is presented to a faculty member who excels in undergraduate teaching. The University President solicits nominations for this award annually. A subcommittee of the Committee on Faculty, consisting of previous recipients of this award, evaluates these nominations and the award is presented to the selected faculty member during commencement.
Given the tremendous quality of academic teaching throughout 裡橖眻畦s campus, this award clearly reflects Dr. Grovers exceptional contribution to VSB, said Joyce E. A. Russell, PhD, the Helen and William OToole Dean of VSB. We are fortunate to have a such a dedicated faculty member in Dr. Grover.
Receiving this award is a most humbling experience and the biggest honor of my professional life, said Dr. Grover. She continued, I am surprised and touched by my students who have consistently nominated me for this award over the last 10 years, especially since they find my classes tough and challenging. It is most inspiring and rewarding to work with our students, and I learn as much from them as they do from me.
Dr. Grover joined VSB in 1996 and throughout her tenure has taught courses in corporate finance and investments. She has also taught in the 裡橖眻畦 MBA and Summer Business Institute programs. She currently serves as the faculty advisor for the Wall Street Society and South Asian Multicultural Organized Student Association (SAMOSA), and previously served as a mentor in the Faith and Learning Scholars Program.
Dr. Grover won the Dougherty Award, VSBs Undergraduate Teaching Excellence Award, in 2011, and she has helped develop and build strong leaders throughout her years with VSB.
