VISIBLE: ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ Initiative to Support Inclusiveness and Build Leaders

NSF logo/professors in lab

VISIBLE—the ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ Initiative to Support Inclusiveness and Build Leaders—seeks to empower academic leaders in STEM and across all disciplines to enable a culture of belonging and equity for all faculty. We do this through professional development for rising and mid-level academic leaders, sharing inclusive leadership practice, supporting faculty career progression, and advocating for systems change for equity.

VISIBLE was established in 2018 by a National Science Foundation ADVANCE Institutional Transformation Grant. NSF ADVANCE encourages and supports the advancement of women in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields. VISIBLE takes a systems approach and contributes to a network of campus partners who advocate for all aspects of equity among all faculty at ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥.
