STEM OUTREACH
柑橘直播鈥檚 College of Engineering has dedicated itself to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education outreach to middle- and high-school students.
The objective of STEM outreach opportunities is two-fold:
- Provide 柑橘直播 Engineering students with an opportunity to step outside the classroom, put newly learned skills to work, and contribute to the community
- Boost middle and high school students鈥� interest in these fields, and help us reach the next generation of engineers, particularly those who are traditionally underrepresented
The College鈥檚 commitment to STEM outreach takes many forms, from facilitation of national programs on the 柑橘直播 campus to local programs that originate from the creativity of our students and faculty.

IS FOR GIRLS!
Participants in grades 4 to 8 come to campus for a full day of hands-on, mechanical engineering projects. Contact Dr. Ani Ural, Professor, Mechanical Engineering.
MATE: MARINE ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION
柑橘直播鈥檚 Department of Mechanical Engineering聽hosts the regional聽MATE competition for underwater robotics. To learn more, contact Assistant Professor James O鈥橞rien or Professor C. Nataraj.
NOVACANE
(柑橘直播 Community Action by New Engineers)
柑橘直播 Engineering majors visit area middle schools and conduct hands-on engineering projects with students and provide teacher education.
