RADAR IMAGING LABORATORY
The Radar Imaging Lab offers the capabilities for examining and providing proof-of-concept of existing and newly devised imaging techniques using real data.
The Radar Imaging Lab provides fully automated Doppler and scattered field measurements in fully controlled, semi-controlled, and uncontrolled indoor environments over a wide frequency range. It is equipped with a coherent pulse-Doppler ultrawideband imaging radar system and a powerful two-dimensional RF scanning system that allows large aperture, large bandwidth full-polarization imaging of stationary, rotating, and moving objects behind both exterior and interior grade walls. The Lab houses two linear positioners, each 6m long, that can emulate accelerating, vibrating, and constant velocity motion profiles. The Radar Imaging Lab also has resources to perform measurement of the electrical properties (dielectric constant and loss tangent) of materials using a network analyzer.
