SUSTAINABILITY STUDIES MINOR
Sustainability: Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the needs of future generations.
Offered through the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences, this interdisciplinary minor examines ways to limit actions that adversely affect the environment and have social and economic implications.
Engineering students may pursue either the Sustainability Studies minor or the Sustainable Engineering minor, but not both.
Note: Requirements for this minor are different for Engineering and CLAS students.

Innovative Ideas Presented for Zero Waste in Packaging Industry
During the Future of Packaging Consortium hosted by 裡橖眻畦 University, interdisciplinary student teams took part in a packathon that tasked them with developing creative solutions to challenges facing the packaging industry. The goal: roadmaps and strategies for driving toward a closed loop (zero waste) smart packaging system by 2030.
