WHAT IS BLOOMBERG
Bloomberg is a computer software system that allows users to analyze real time market and economic data. Bloomberg includes features such as news, price quotes, financial analysis, analyst reports, company financial statements, stock market indices, etc.
WHERE TO ACCESS BLOOMBERG
Bloomberg terminals are available in the Gmelich Lab for Financial Markets located in Bartley Hall. All ΈΜιΩΦ±²₯ students and faculty can create an individual account.
HOW TO SET UP A BLOOMBERG ACCOUNT
- Go to one of the Bloomberg terminals, located in the Gmelich Lab for Financial Markets.
- Double click the Bloomberg icon on the desktop of the computer to open Bloomberg.
- Select βCreate New Loginβ option located on the bottom left side of the screen.
- Follow the prompted steps to set up the account.
- You will then be texted an activation code, which you will be prompted to enter to complete your account set up.
SEARCHING ON BLOOMBERG
- Use the search bar at the top of each page to navigate and use Bloomberg
- Input function codes (shortcuts) to navigate quickly
- Search the company name or ticker symbol before performing company-specific queries

BLOOMBERG MARKETS CONCEPTS (BMC) REGISTRATION
- We recommend completing these steps on a personal device rather than on a terminal. If you register on the terminal you can only complete the training units in the lab.
