Anthony M. Amoscato, Esq., ’73 VSB received a Master of Laws in Dispute Resolution from the Strauss Institute at Pepperdine University in the fall of 2022.Β 

John F. Dailey Jr. ’73 VSB was recognized posthumously for his leadership and efforts to advance the accounting profession as the recipient of the 2022 National Association of State Boards of Accountancy Distinguished Service Award. The award was presented during NASBA's 115th Annual Meeting in November 2022.

Denise L. Devine ’77 VSB, ’83 MTΒ was honored by the National Association of Corporate Directors as one of the Directorship 100 Honorees. All honorees were recognized at a black-tie gala in New York City in June 2022.


1977

Pope Francis has chosen the Augustinian missionary Bishop Robert F. Prevost, OSA, ’77 CLASΒ as the new prefect of the Vatican’s Dicastery for Bishops. Along with this appointment, Pope Francis promoted the Chicago native and ΈΜιΩΦ±²₯ alumnus to the rank of archbishop in addition to naming him the president of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America.

As prefect, Bishop Prevost will advise the pontiff in matters relating to episcopal nominations and discipline. Having previously served as bishop in Chiclayo, Peru, since 2015 and as the former prior general of the Augustinian order from 2001 until 2013, Bishop Prevost will take up his new post in April.

Joyce (Leparulo) Maglione, PhD, ’78 FCN, program director for the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program and an associate professor at Seton Hall University College of Nursing, is the principal investigator of a four-year, $3.6 million grant that will provide mobile health clinic training for graduate nursing students.

Anthony J. Rollo Jr. ’78 CLAS was recognized in the 2023 edition of Best Lawyers in America in the areas of banking and finance law, financial services regulation lawβ€”banking and finance, and mass tort litigation/class actionsβ€”defendants.

Jan S. Beck ’80 CWSL, ’85 MTΒ will serve as president of A-1 Global Holdings, a leading manufacturer of pre-engineered wood trusses and EZWALL products. He previously had served as the company's executive vice president and chief financial officer since October 2018.

Amy B. Barone ’81 VSB published a new collection of poetry, titled Defying Extinction.

1982

Madeline Bialecki ’82 CLAS, ’93 MAΒ was the featured speaker at Blessings in a Backpack's annual dinner in St. Clair Shores, Mich. She spoke on "Lessons from Caregivingβ€”Growing in Gratitude" and shared insights she gained during her career working with adults who have disabilities, the time she spent in a L’Arche community, and her role as a caregiver to a friend who had brain cancer. Bialecki has spent the last seven years working at a cancer support nonprofit in Metro Detroit.

Thomas Andrew O’Keefe ’85 CWSL was named chief of party of the USAID-funded Caribbean Business Enabling Environment project, based in Barbados.

Bruce Lee Silverstein ’86 CWSL was selected by the Malibu City Council in December 2022 to serve as the mayor of Malibu, Calif.

1987

Neil Stalter ’87 VSB was named associate partner at Diamond State Financial Group in January. His practice focuses on business owners and those nearing retirement.

1989

James Caponi ’89 CLAS, ’92 MAΒ was promoted to general counsel, chief compliance officer for ConnectiveRx.

Kathryn Quigley ’89 CLAS has been named the chairperson of the Journalism Department at Rowan University in New Jersey.

Greg Schementi ’89 VSB, a veteran tenant representation real estate leader, has joined the commercial real estate firm Cresa as president.

Robert Tyson, JD, ’89 CWSLΒ joined the faculty of legal defense experts at the inaugural Nuclear Verdicts Defense Institute, a three-day immersive education experience in June 2022 focused on training defense counsel on how to implement the strategies to stop jury awards that surpass $10 million.

1990s

1990

David Dorschu ’90 CLAS, ’95 MS, an ordained Christian pastor and chief executive officer of Recovery Centers of America at Raritan Bay in South Amboy, N.J., has dedicated more than 20 years to the substance abuse field. Currently, he oversees the Freedom program, a 30-day inpatient drug and alcohol addiction treatment program.

Renee Ricciotti ’90 VSB, national safety and industrial channel director at 3M, was named by the Industrial Supply Association as the winner of the 2022 Women’s Influence Award. This distinguished award honors an individual from an ISA member company for their commitment to advancing the development and influence of women in the industrial supply channel.


1992

William Kleemeier ’92 COE put the pedal to the metal to raise awareness and funds for polycystic kidney disease, a rare, potentially life-threatening genetic condition that has affected several members of his family, and with which he was diagnosed at the age of 40. Kleemeier started his trek in Seaside, Ore., and was scheduled to conclude in Ocean City, N.J., but suffered a setback when, outside of Chicago, he crashed his bike and broke his elbow. Buoyed by the mantra β€œrecover, return, ride,” Kleemeier successfully completed his cross-country trek in November 2022.

Dan Tropeano ’92 CLAS has been named Highmark Blue Shield’s first-ever Southeastern Pennsylvania segment president. A longtime leader and community servant in the Southeastern Pennsylvania market, he joins Highmark after more than 15 years with UnitedHealth Group.

1993

Elizabeth Preate Havey ’93 VSB, a partner at Dilworth Paxson LLP, was elected the first female president of the Pennsylvania Society in May 2022. She was also appointed general counsel and secretary to the National Constitution Center in September 2022 after being elected to the board in January 2022.

Kristen (Rothe) O’Donnell ’93 CLASΒ has been nominated to the board of directors of Sierra Community House, a nonprofit in the Lake Tahoe region that supports underserved individuals and families through family strengthening, crisis intervention, hunger relief and legal services. She is a licensed broker and Global Real Estate Advisor serving the North Lake Tahoe region with Sierra Sotheby’s International Realty.

1994

DΓ©idre Carney, PhD, ’94 CLAS has completed a three-year term as membership convener on the Board of Women Graduates-USA, an online organization advocating for safe, lifelong education for women and girls.

Julia Urbanchuk Danielak ’94 CLAS, after more than 20-year career working in human resources in the biopharmaceutical and tech industries, has founded Star Pattern Consulting to continue her mission of aligning talent, culture and capability for businesses to thrive.

1996

Stephen Camelio ’96 CLASΒ wrote a film, titled Mending the Line, which he produced with Kelly McKendry ’94 CLAS and that was inspired by his own father, the late Andrew Camelio ’65 CLAS, who was a devoted fly fisherman. The movie, which stars Brian Cox and Patricia Heaton, won the Valor Award at the San Diego Film Festival and is expected to be released this summer.

Michael J. Ciocco ’96 COEΒ was named the 2023 Engineer of the Year by the Delco Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers. Ciocco is a licensed professional engineer and sewage enforcement officer in Pennsylvania with 27 years of experience in civil and municipal engineering.

Patricia G. Melloy ’96 MSΒ published her first textbook, titled Viruses and Society, which is geared towards professionals and students in college-level introductory biology courses devoted to understanding viruses, vaccines and their global impact.

Elaine M. Pohl ’96 CLAS, an insurance coverage attorney for Plunkett Cooney, served as the program vice chair of the annual Insurance Coverage and Practice Symposium in December 2022 in New York City.

1997

Jennifer Duignan ’97 CLAS joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as a principal/partner leading its Project Management Offices Managed Services Consulting Practice in December 2022.

1998

Marcia Watson ’98 CLASΒ celebrated the birth of a daughter, Avery, on Oct. 17, 2022.

2000s

2000

Brian Edlin ’00 CWSL, a partner with Jordan Price Wall Gray Jones and Carlton, PLLC, in Raleigh, N.C., has been granted a fellowship in the College of Community Association Lawyers. Edlin is an adjunct professor at Campbell University School of Law and the author of the second edition of the Common Interest Communities in North Carolina.

Russell Johnston ’00 VSB has joined Seward and Kissel LLP in New York as a partner in the Government Enforcement and Internal Investigations Group. He comes from King and Spalding LLP, where he was a partner focusing on securities enforcement and government investigatory matters.


2001

A bucket list moment for any business leader,Β Arianne Collette ’01 VSB, chief operating officer and head of strategy for Reinvestment at Morgan Stanley, marked the five-year anniversary of Women in Securities Finance, a networking group she co-founded, by joining members of her leadership team to ring the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange in December 2022.

Since its formation in 2018 as a small community of colleagues looking to foster connections and promote the advancement of women in the securities finance industry, the group has grown to a global organization with more than 1,000 members, across five chapters in New York, Boston, Chicago, Toronto and London.

Mary Davis ’01 MAΒ traded a law career in Philadelphia for the chance to move to New York City and produce shows off and on Broadway. In 2021, she received a Tony Award as a producer of The Inheritance, which won Best Play.


ΈΜιΩΦ±²₯ Football’s all-time leading rusher and scorer,Β Brian Westbrook ’01 VSBΒ is the first former ΈΜιΩΦ±²₯ Football player to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. He is the second ΈΜιΩΦ±²₯n to be inducted, joining his former coach, Andy Talley. Westbrook won the 2001 Walter Payton Award as the best Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) player in the nation and went on to a nine-year career in the NFL. Now an NFL analyst, Westbrook also serves on the ΈΜιΩΦ±²₯ University Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Patrick Cusick ’02 CLAS joined the Philadelphia office of Armanino as a director in the Law Firm Advisory Services group. He was most recently the accounting manager at BBC Law, LLP, a firm that he helped to found in 2018.

Samantha (Werres) Melworm ’02 CLAS was recognized as a 2022 Exemplary Elementary Educator by the New Jersey Department of Education.

2003

Jasmine Nichole Cobb ’03 CLAS, a professor of African and African American Studies and of Art, Art History and Visual Studies at Duke University, published the book New Growth. In it, she explores Black hair as a visual material through which to reimagine the sensual experience of Blackness.

James A. Curley III ’03 VSB, owner of Jim Curley Buick GMC in Keyport and Lakewood, N.J., assumed the chairmanship of the New Jersey Coalition of Automotive Retailers. He also serves as treasurer of the Tri-State Buick GMC Advertising Board and was elected to the Buick GMC National Dealer Council earlier in 2022.

2004

Heather M. Buxton ’04 VSB was promoted to chief people officer of Anteriad, LLC, an Inc. 5000 company specializing in full-funnel marketing solutions.

Emily (Connelly) Jordan ’04 CLAS has been promoted to head of brand management at the advertising agency 72andSunny in Los Angeles, Calif.

Cosmo F. Terrigno ’04 MA celebrated 18 years as headmaster of Woodland Country Day School in Stow Creek Township, N.J., which is the longest tenure for headmaster in the school’s 63-year history. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, Terrigno teaches eighth-grade composition and has been an adjunct faculty member in the Arts and Humanities Department at Rowan College of South Jersey for more than 20 years.

Steven Brogan ’05 CLASΒ was promoted to partner at Faegre Drinker, where he is an attorney in the firm’s insurance practice group.

2006

Kelley Menzano Fazzini ’06 VSBwas elevated to shareholder at Hangley Aronchick Segal Pudlin and Schiller, where she practices family law.


2007

After battling a rare form of chronic kidney disease since his diagnosis in summer 2016,Β Morgan Hendrickson ’07 VSBΒ received the miraculous gift of life on Christmas Day 2022 with a kidney transplant he had been waiting and praying for. As fate would have it, fellow Wildcat Kathryn (Lenhardt) Paget, NP, ’08 FCN is a key member of his post-transplant care team at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. This new lease on life allows Hendrickson to resume a sense of normalcy that he had put on hold for almost two-and-a-half years while surviving on nightly peritoneal dialysis.

Daisy Ayllon ’11 CLAS joinedΒ the legal team Romanucci and Blandin, LLC, a national personal injury firm primarily based in Chicago, as a senior attorney. Prior to joining R&B in January, Ayllon spent nearly a decade helping both English- and Spanish-speaking individuals in personal injury cases at a Chicago-area law firm.

Justin Condit ’11 VSB was promoted to principal at Bressler, Amery and Ross, P.C., in January. As a member of the firm’s labor and employment practice group, he represents clients in a variety of employment law matters in state and federal courts, as well as before administrative agencies and arbitration forums.

Ben Ramapuram ’12 VSB and Marti White ’14 CLAS welcomed a son, Eugene Thomas Ramapuram, on Sept. 12, 2022.

Matthew Yakush ’12 COE, ’15 MS received the 2022 DuPont Engineering Excellence Award and an American Chemical Council Responsible Care Energy Efficiency Award for managing DuPont’s No. 1 sustainability project that reduced emissions by 3,300 metric tons of carbon dioxide annually.

2014

Cali (Eckler) Chandiramani, Esq., ’14 CWSL was elevated in January to partner at Goldberg Segalla, a national civil litigation firm. Chandiramani, based in Manhattan, is an experienced litigator who focuses her practice on counseling and representing employers in complex employment matters.

Tatiana DiSanti Edwards ’14 COE and Matthew Edwards ’14 COE, ’17 MS were married in Mount Tremper, N.Y., on Aug. 14, 2021.

Kristin A. Gavin ’14 VSB was promoted in January to partner at accounting firm Barsz Gowie Amon and Fultz, LLC. Gavin formerly served as senior tax manager for the firm and will now be involved in the firm’s strategic planning and growth efforts.

Laura T. Hedge, Esq., ’14 CWSL joined Bousquet Holstein PLLC's Ithaca office in January 2022 and is part of the Divorce and Family Law and Litigation practice groups. She was named a Super Lawyers Upstate New York Rising Star for 2022.

2016

Kai Cunningham ’16 VSB was among the financial investors to be featured on Forbes 30 Under 30 Venture Capital list. As a co-founder of Limited Ventures, Cunningham is working to make startup investing more inclusive as he helps professional athletes and entertainers invest their wealth.

Michael L. McDonald ’16 CLAS celebrated one year cancer-free after battling Non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2021. During chemotherapy treatment, McDonald continued to work at Supreme Orthopedic Solutions and was promoted to team leader during that time. A former ΈΜιΩΦ±²₯ Club Hockey player, he continues to coach high school hockey at Georgetown Prep in Rockville, Md.

Tyiesha L. Brooks ’17 MBA joined the Institute for Defense Analyses as a business partner in the Human Resources Directorate, located in Alexandria, Va.

John Gomes ’17 MS was hired as an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco, where he will teach classes in the MS in Digital Health program.

Nicodemo Bruzzese ’18 CLAS, who works as an associate producer at NBC Universal, was recognized in 2022 with a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Interactive Experience for Coverage of the Games of the XXXII Olympiad.
