Lt. Cmdr. Akeeka Davis, USN, NC, RN, MSN, MBA

A PhD student at the M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing, Lt. Cmdr. Akeeka Davis, USN, NC, RN, MSN, MBA is helping to shape the future of graduate education for US nursing students.Ìý

Lt. Cmdr. Davis is one of 10 graduate nursing students nationwide serving a two-year term on the Graduate Nursing Student Academy (GNSA) Leadership Council for the American Association of Colleges of Nursing and is the lead for the GNSA Liaison group. In this role, she’ll provide direction on the programs, services and resources that master’s and doctoral nursing students need..

Lt. Cmdr. Davis brings 30 years of military service and nursing experience to this position and is currently the Branch Chief of Business Operations for Health Information Technology at the J-6 Division of the Defense Health Agency Headquarters in Falls Church, Va.
