Biography
Lori Corso serves as the head of staff development for the ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ Law Library. SheÌýtrains and supports the professional development of all library staff and provides technology training and support for faculty, staff and students. She also manages the school's law databases and creates and administers library research guides. She currently teaches the advanced legal research upper-level elective and has taught the legal research portion of the legal research, analysis, writing andÌý communicationÌýcourse. Corso guest lectures in various courses, including advanced insurance seminar, statutes and legislation, civil pretrial practice,Ìýand business ethics. She also presents research orientations to ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ Law's CARES and FLAC clinic students, journal members and summer externs. In 2020, she received the "Diane E. Ambler '78 Faculty Curricular Innovation Award" and received the "Staff Member of the Year" award from the ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ Law Student Bar Association in 2023.
Corso has also taughtÌýLegal Research & WritingÌýas an adjunct professor in Bryn Mawr College's Gaduate School of Social Work and Social Research and teaches in the ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ Paralegal Studies program as part of the College of Professional Studies.ÌýAdditionally, she has presented on various legal research and project management topics in several forums including the CALI Conference and the Greater Philadelphia Law Library Association's annual institute and seasonal programs. She has also presented continuing education programs both live and via webinar for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute on subjects ranging from free legal information resources to real estate research resources.
Corso joined the ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ Law Library in 2010, after working as the firm librarian for a large law firm based in Los Angeles. She holds a JD from Northeastern University School of Law, a master's in library and information science from San Jose State University, and a BA and a BS from Shippensburg University. She previously served as the president of the Greater Philadelphia Law Library Association (GPLLA).
