Jennifer O'Hare
Professor of Law
Biography
Jennifer O’Hare joined the ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ Law faculty in 2000. Before that, she had been a member of the faculty of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and the St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida.
O’Hare’s research focuses on the antifraud provisions of the federal securities laws, and, in particular, the securities fraud class action. More recently, she has been interested in the relationship between federal and state law in regulating securities fraud. Her articles have been published in, among other journals, the Alabama Law Review, the Cincinnati Law Review, the Ohio State Law Journal, the Pittsburgh Law Review, the University of Richmond Law ReviewÌýand the Wisconsin Law Review.
O’Hare received a BS degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a JD degree, with high honors, from the George Washington University School of Law. At George Washington, she was a member of the Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. Following law school, she practiced corporate and securities law for several years as an associate at the international law firm of Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue in New York.
At ¸ÌéÙÖ±²¥ Law, O’Hare teaches Business Organizations and several classes in securities regulation. She is also the co-director of the Business Law Concentration.
